Hi, I'm Tony · AI for SMEs

Are you sure your numbers are right?

The monthly grind eats your week — and still has mistakes nobody catches.

Commissions calculated wrong. Reports you wait days for. Numbers that don't quite match. Decisions made on data you're not fully sure about. It's almost always the same cause — slow, manual work that's also error-prone. AI can make it accurate, fast, and the same every time. I can train you, train your team, or do it for you.

The whole idea

The fastest way to learn AI is to do it yourself.

Courses explain what AI can do. Certifications hand you a badge. Neither of them puts you in front of a real business problem on a Friday afternoon with something that needs to be fixed by Monday. That's where you actually learn — by trying, breaking, fixing, and shipping.

So that's what I do. Every week, in real SME businesses across e-commerce, real estate, fitness, and education. Different industries, different problems, different constraints — that's the only way to actually know what AI can and can't do in a small business right now.

Then I write up what worked, what didn't, and the thinking that got me there. The case studies below aren't curated. They're whatever problem hit my desk that week.

That's how I learn AI. That's how I share it.

Featured case studies

Real SME problems. Real AI fixes.

These are scenarios you'll recognise from your own business — slow, manual, error-prone work that AI can quietly make accurate, fast, and the same every time. If one (or three) of these looks like yours, that's the signal.

01

Real estate · Sales-driven SMEs

Wrong monthly commissions

Two weeks of Excel every month, and quiet errors nobody catches until an agent complains weeks later.

The AI fix

AI pulls the system exports, cross-checks against the source of truth, flags every mismatch before payout day.

02

Any SME with monthly reporting

Reports nobody fully trusts

Monthly P&L takes a week to stitch together. Then someone spots a row that doesn't add up and the whole thing's suspect.

The AI fix

AI builds the report from the same source data every month, formatted the same way, with the math shown so anyone can audit it.

03

Services · Trading · Retail

Two systems that don't talk

Invoices in one system, payments in another. Reconciliation is one of your best people typing for half a day, every week.

The AI fix

Export both. AI matches what it can and surfaces only the genuine mismatches for a human to look at.

04

E-commerce · Service · Hospitality

Customer service drowning

Same questions, same answers, all day. Your best people are stuck on tier-1 replies instead of doing the work only they can do.

The AI fix

AI drafts the reply in your brand voice. Your team reads, tweaks, sends. Tier-1 volume halved, response quality up.

05

E-commerce · Marketing-led SMEs

Content production drag

Product listings, social posts, blog posts, follow-up emails. Content eats hours every week and the team falls behind.

The AI fix

AI drafts in your voice off a one-line brief. You edit and ship. A week of content turned out in a morning.

06

Services · Consulting · B2B

Quotes that take forever

Every proposal is a fresh document. Cut-and-paste from the last one, hope nothing important got missed in the process.

The AI fix

AI builds the proposal from a short intake call. Pricing, scope, terms all pulled from your standard library — every time.

Recognise one? Or three? Whichever scenario you bring, we'll see if AI can actually move the needle on it.

Want it actually handled?

Three ways to work with me.

The case studies above show you the method. When you want it in your business — not just understood — you engage me one of three ways.

01

Train you.

You learn to do it yourself, properly, on your real work.

02

Train your team.

So the skill lives in the business, not one person's head.

03

Do it for you.

I build the fix, documented so anyone can run it.

Tell me what's slowing you down. If I can help, we'll talk.

Where my AI knowledge comes from

Hands-on, in real SME businesses.

AI is new and changing fast. Anyone who claims to have it figured out is either lying or already behind. The only honest way to know what AI can actually do for a small business right now is to keep using it — on different businesses, different problems, every week. That's how I learn it, and that's how I teach it. These are the ventures where the workflows on this site come from.

01

E-commerce

Beauty & wellness brand

Product copy, customer service replies, demand forecasting. The daily grind of running an online brand, compressed into AI workflows.

02

Real estate

Property & commissions

Commission calculations, listings, contract handling. Where the famous 'two weeks of Excel to seconds' case study came from.

03

Fitness studio

Bookings & content

Studio operations, member retention, social content. AI behind almost every customer touchpoint without it feeling robotic.

04

Education

AInstein Academy itself

This site. Built using the same AI workflows I share. The daily Radar? Auto-generated by AI overnight. Meta, but real.

05

Cross-border trading

Yiwu / Shopee sourcing

Product sourcing, pricing, listing copy, support tickets. How AI lets one person run an operation that used to need three.

06

Always exploring

New experiments

Every new problem is a fresh case study. I write up what works. I write up what fails. Both teach you something.

Common questions

Things people ask first.

What makes you different from the rest?

Most AI people sell theory or sell hours. I run the businesses where these workflows came from — real estate, e-commerce, fitness, education — and I use the exact same AI workflows daily to keep them lean. The scenarios above show the thinking, not the polished textbook version. The questions I asked. What I tried. What failed. What worked.

I don't really know what I want from AI yet. Will I still get value?

Honestly, that's most people — and it's the real reason AI projects stall. Look down the scenarios above and one (or three) probably looks like yours or close to it. From there, scoping happens in a quick conversation. Tell me what's slowing you down on WhatsApp and we'll work it out together — even if you're not sure what to ask for, I've usually seen something similar.

Do I need technical experience?

No. This is for business owners and their staff, not engineers. If you can use email and a spreadsheet, you've got enough — same for your team. The whole approach is telling AI what you need in plain language, not writing code. Whatever I show you or build for you comes with simple instructions, so you run it after I'm gone.

What does this cost?

Three buckets. Public courses, when scheduled, have prices listed up front — no haggling, just sign up. Team training and bespoke builds vary by team size and scope; tell me your situation on WhatsApp and I come back with a real number after a 10-minute scope call. Ongoing consultation and AI automation runs on a flat RM 8,000/month retainer — we agree the scope each month, you get direct access. No surprises after we start.

How safe is my data? Will you have access to our financials and customer info?

Fair concern — and the first thing I'd ask too. I work AROUND your systems, never replacing them. Where AI touches sensitive data, we run it on exports or in your own cloud account — your data stays where it is, with whatever access controls you already have. I'll always be straight about what touches what, and you decide what's in and what's out.

I'm not ready to engage yet. Where should I start?

Totally fair — most people who eventually engage me followed along for weeks first. Two honest options: read the daily Radar for short takes on AI news and what it means for SMEs (updated every day), or drop your email into the newsletter signup at the bottom of this page — one short email a week, no fluff. When something clicks and your problem becomes urgent, you'll know where to find me.

Can I get help with my business directly?

Yes — that's what this is. The scenarios on this page and the daily Radar give you a sense of how I think about these problems. If you want it actually handled in your business, you engage me one of three ways: I train you to do it, I train your team so the work survives the next person leaving, or I do it for you. Everyone I work with also gets into a private group for ongoing support — questions you hit a week later, what others are building, what's working. Tell me what's slowing you down on WhatsApp and we'll see if it's a fit.
